In Quality and Environment Policies, PT Smelting is committed to always conduct and develop sustainable CSR activities for all stakeholders based on Good Corporate Governance.
It always maintains sustainable commitment to behave ethically and contribute to economic development also improve the quality of life of manpower and their families as well as local communities.
PT Smelting has conducted and will keep conducting activities related to social responsibility, as follow : It conducts social actions (including life environment) more than the limits demanded by regulations.
MANAGEMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
In carrying out the CSR program, PT Smelting is committed to always implementing a Community Development program that adheres to 4 pillars, namely:
Education
PT Smelting consistently support community, especially for surrounding area, to improve their education quality, through education incentive program for poor teachers and students, education facility contribution, students scholarship program, and to develop village library to stimulate the community reading interest.
Health
In the matter of health, PT Smelting participates in improving the health quality of Gresik community through health service programs in collaboration with Gresik Government and hospitals.
Social Economy
To create the spirit of entrepreneurship among communities surrounding the company, PT Smelting provides entrepreneurship course programs and the establishment of small business units as well as assistance until the creation of business independency.
Environment
PT Smelting contributes to improve the quality of life environment surrounding area and Gresik Regency, through a mangrove conservation program at the orifice of the Leweyan river, Pangkah Kulon village, Ujung Pangkah subdistrict, Gresik. PT Smelting is also committed to preserving the Javan Hawk-Eagle, in collaboration with Taman Safari I, Cisarua, Bogor.
